Where do we go from here?

As we are starting this new church, one of our main objectives is for us all to be involved in a process where we are growing in our faith and making a difference as the church in our culture. The question for us is, what is the process are we following and what are our desired outcomes? The following is a process we have been working on. This is by no means a finished product, but it will help you get started. Start at the beginning, and the rest will follow.

 

The Big Goal

1000 Followers of Jesus (Jesus style) in 10 years committed to infusing Christ's love together, enriching the lives of 5000 other North County San Diegans as they experience the love of leading to transformed lives and a transformed culture.

SELF

We want to understand our identity in Christ and our roles in his church.

Practical steps you can take:

  • join a neighborhood infusion
  • take the Welcome Class
  • take the Spiritual Gifts Class
  • get into a DNA group with 2 other people (for info on DNA groups, click here)

 


SEARCH

We want to get to know our neighbors - how can we love them if we don't even know them? Practical steps you can take:

  • have neighbors over for a bbq to learn as much as you can about them... with no agenda!
  • serve with a neighborhood infusion in putting on a neighborhood party, etc.

 


SERVE

We want to bless our neighbors by  meaningfully serving them.

Practical steps you can take:

  • pray fervently for your neighbors
  • take initiative to resource your neighbors passions (that aren't illegal or immoral)
  • cast vision for a better world with your neighbors

 


STRENGTHEN

We want to bring healing to our neighbors.

Practical steps you can take:

  • discover their brokenness & pray for healing
  • bear their burden
  • resource them for better health

 


SHARE

We want to tell our part in God’s story and present a biblical worldview.

Practical steps you can take:

  • provide learning opportunities
  • invite neighbors into the faith community

 

 

SEND

We want to involved them in the greatest mission on earth.

Practical steps you can take:

  • get involved in starting a neighborhood infusion right where you live
  • be a part of one of our church plant teams (down the road)
  • go into the foreign mission field
